Since July 2020 Huntington’s SA & NT has been part of a national consortium that was set up to facilitate greater co-operation and collaboration between State Associations across Australia.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Huntington’s Associations of SA/NT, WA, Queensland, NSW/ACT and Tasmania that also aimed to:
The overarching aim of the Consortium is to work towards delivering the best possible outcomes for people with Huntington’s disease (HD) and their families across Australia.
We are already seeing benefits arising from working together and sharing. A highlight is the recent attainment of a federal grant to run a joint project to start up pilot social and recreation programs (based on our Coffee & Co Program) in regional areas of each of the member State Associations.
