We are doing a lot to build awareness during the month of May and we would love you to join us in getting the word out. It can be as easy as sharing the link to our website or facebook page on social media, or lending a hand by becoming a volunteer. Watch this space as we share more with you about how you can become involved.
Our wonderful volunteers were at the opening of Bunning's Edwardstown on Sunday the 7th April and Monday 8th April for a BBQ Fundraiser. Thank-you to everyone who came along and supported us by buying a snag or two and helping us raise funds for the local Huntington's Community.
This BBQ was just the first of many to come as we will be back at Edwardstown Bunnings each month. Our next dates there are Saturday May 11th and Saturday 8th June. Put these dates in your diary and come along to support us in this our fundraising efforts.
The success of these events are only possible due to the effort of our wonderful volunteers. This is another way you can help support Huntington's SA & NT Inc by offering your time as a volunteer. If you would like to help us on each month, or maybe just now and then we want to hear from you! You can contact Michele at the centre on 0424 062 121 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
It was a great day for the City to Bay on September 16th and we could not have asked for better weather. We had walkers, runners and a couple of wheelchairs complete either the 12km or 6km course. Wearing our blue HD T-shirts we certainly made a statement and raised awareness around us.
Some of our group got the opportunity to get their photo take with Andrew 'Cosi' Costello from the tv series South Aussie with Cosi. Thanks Cosi for taking the time to do this.
Congratulations to our top fundraisers: In first place our Board Chair Dr Liz Thompson and in second place Angus Fowler. Thank you both for your outstanding efforts.
Together we have raised $27,260 to date.
Thank-you for your support!
