Our Social and Recreation Program, better known as Coffee & Co, is for everyone with or impacted by HD. It is a program aimed at providing opportunity for people with HD to participate in social and recreational activities that they otherwise might not be able to. It helps break the isolation that a lot of people with HD experience.
Family members and anyone impacted by HD are also welcome. The program helps build resilience through participation and sharing, enabling people with HD and their families and carers to come together in a safe environment to learn, socialise and enjoy structured, supported, fun and engaging activities.
If you are not sure just come along and meet us.
Wednesdays from 11am to 1pm.
For now the program is back on at our premises. Some weeks we have outings or conduct the program at an alternate location. Should there be any COVID related changes we will let you know. As an alternative to programs at our premises, you can join us on Zoom Coffee & Co.
Huntington’s SA & NT
16 Malwa Street, Glandore SA
The building is at the T-intersection of Gertrude and Malwa Streets.
To join the program in person or through Zoom or just find out more about Coffee & Co give us a call on 0424 062 121 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The fee is just $11 (including GST) for every week the program is attended, either in-person or via Zoom, and will be invoiced monthly. This fee will cover everything involved in the program, except any provided meals, which will at this stage continue to be offered free for all program participants and their support person(s).
An annual Service Agreement will need to be set up between the program participant (or their responsible person) and the Association.
Whilst Huntington’s SA & NT is not a registered provider for NDIS, all program fees paid by participants will be able to be offset against their NDIS Plans. The process for doing this will be dependent upon how each person’s NDIS Plan is managed. There is also scope for Aged Care Plans and SACAT orders to cover the fees.
We would be only too happy to discuss approaches to recover costs from NDIS with you and provide any guidance if required.
If you are thinking about joining Coffee & Co come along and try us out for a few free sessions.
If transport is an issue let us know and we will together try and work something out.
